Honey Bee Swarm Removal | Akron/Canton/Kent

What should you do if you find a honey bee swarm on your property?

First and most important, don’t harm it!  Keep those cans of bug spray at bay.

Honey bees are vitally important to our food supply and their numbers have declined significantly over the last few years.  We need them and we need to help them when we can.

Second, to give the colony a nice home, find someone who collects the bees and gives them a new home.

Many bee keepers and animal removal companies will happily pick up swarms on your property and give them a new home free of charge.

When this is done, it is truly a win/win for all parties involved.  The bees get a new home which is what they are out looking for.  You get rid of the swarm that decided to park itself on a bush, tree, or fence in your yard. The bee keeper gets to responsibly share honey and wax with the bees.  And, the local ecology gets to help out our local pollinators.
